Who We Are
Fondasyon Luc Innocent pou Devlopman Lakay is a Haitian-led nonprofit organization created by the children of Luc Innocent to carry forward his legacy of compassion, service, and grassroots leadership. We are dedicated to addressing the challenges facing rural Haiti—environmental degradation, youth unemployment, and lack of access to vocational education—through sustainable, community-driven solutions.
Our Story
Luc Innocent’s Legacy
Luc Innocent (1952–2025) was a farmer, pastor, mentor, and advocate for justice in his hometown of Figuier, Anse-Rouge. He cultivated his land not only for his family but to feed others, leased farmland to those without, and supported young people in pursuing trades such as sewing, pastry, agriculture, and electricity. Even while battling prostate cancer, he continued serving his community with dignity and compassion.
Many of the youth he once helped are now returning as teachers in the Foundation’s vocational programs—proof of his lasting influence. His children established this Foundation to honor his vision: building water reservoirs, planting trees, empowering youth, and creating opportunities so rural communities can thrive .
